After a period of close cooperation between several German professional psychological associations, the German DIN 33430 norm test standards have been released in June 2002. The purpose of this guideline is the assurance and optimization of quality in professional psychological diagnostics, with regulations being formulated relating to the process of aptitude assessment, to the job analysis, to diagnostic instruments, and to the qualification of the practitioner conducting the assessment.
Personnel psychologists are required to adhere to the highest quality standards, so the provisions contained in DIN 33430 have long been part of their professional standards.
